Factory Engraved Left Handed Johann Fanzoj Hand Detachable Sidelock Over/Under Combination Gun Two Barrel Set with Two Scopes
Built with blued Bohler Antinit steel barrels, this fine gun features a beaded blade front sight, flip-up rear sight, and German-style claw mounts securing a Carl Zeiss Diavari-D 1.5–6× scope on the matted solid rib, marked “JOHANN FANZOI – FERLACH.” The barrels retain standard-era factory markings, an import mark under the forend, 1968 Austrian proofs, and light scroll engraving around the breech. The shotgun barrels feature 2 3/4‑inch chambers with a choke constriction of .027 inches.
The coin-finished bolstered hand-detachable sidelock action displays extensive, beautifully executed scroll engraving over a matted background, with “JOHANN FANZOI FERLACH” in a banner on the underside. The engraving continues onto the toplever, trigger guard, and both tangs. The gun is equipped with double triggers (front is a single set) and a tang-mounted manual safety with gold-inlaid “S.”
It is fitted with a highly figured, multi-point checkered three-piece forend with engraved fittings and a round-knob pistol grip stock with left-handed shadowline cheekpiece, engraved blued-steel cartridge trap with gold-inlaid “PB,” and red rubber recoil pad.
Included is an extra set of matching-numbered and engraved 16 gauge/.222 Remington barrels with 2 3/4‑inch chambers, a choke constriction of .032 inches, and its own Kahles Helia-Super 3–9× scope. Also included is a wood and leather takedown case featuring the Fanzoj label inside the lid and the same “PB” initials on the exterior.
Length of pull: 14 9/16 inches. Weight: 9 lbs. 1 oz. with scope.
Excellent, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with only some minor handling evidence. The wood is very fine with slightly ill-fitting forend seems, a few minor dings and scratches, and sharp checkering. The scope optics are sharp. The case is very good. The extra barrel set and scope are excellent. Mechanically excellent.
