O. Lischange in Syracuse, New York, on October 22, 1940. This classic Colt features an elevation-adjustable blade front sight and adjustable notch rear sight, the two-line Colt address and patent dates roll-marked on the left side of the barrel, “THE WOODSMAN” marking on the left side of the frame, Colt “T” over “triangle/VP” factory proofs on the left of the trigger guard, “23” on the right of the trigger guard, and the caliber designation with the Rampant Colt on the left side of the slide.
