The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) Hunter Safety Course helps participants develop the knowledge, skills, and responsible attitude needed to hunt safely. Designed for students ages 12 and older, the program offers instructor-led classes or an approved online course followed by an FWC Field Day. In-person field days provide hands-on instruction in safe firearm handling, loading and unloading, shot placement, and making safe shooting decisions. Whether you’re preparing for your first hunt or strengthening your safety skills, the course provides a foundation for responsible hunting.
