Exceptionally fine, retaining 90% plus of the original blue finish on the barrel and 60% of the original case colors, strongest in sheltered areas, with the balance mostly a smooth grey patina, a few scattered light dings, and extremely crisp, masterfully executed engraving by L.D. Nimschke. The wood is very fine with some scattered minor dings and scratches and retaining almost all the original varnish. Mechanically excellent.
