Outstanding Winchester Pre-64 Model 70 Westerner Bolt Action Rifle in .264 Winchester Magnum with Original Box
Manufactured in 1962, this Winchester is fitted with a ramped, hooded, beaded blade front sight and an elevation-adjustable rear sight. The barrel is marked on the left with the Winchester address, model, and caliber, and bears “WP” proof stamps on the barrel and left of the receiver ring. The straight tang receiver carries the Winchester trademark on the left and the serial number on the right of the receiver ring.
The rifle is mounted in a multi-point checkered, straight-grain walnut pistol grip stock with sling loops, Monte Carlo comb, and checkered plastic buttplate. Includes the original factory box.
Excellent, retaining 99% original with minor handling evidence and some minor surface rust visible on the floorplate. The stock is also excellent with sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good. The extra barrel is very fine with some spotting.
