Factory Engraved Colt Police Positive Double Action Revolver with Pearl Grips and Factory Letter

$ 9499.99

The included factory letter confirms this revolver was shipped on loan account to Von Lengerke & Antoine of Chicago on May 21, 1926, as a single-gun order, with a 4-inch barrel in .32 caliber, blue finish, factory engraving, and pearl stocks.

It is fitted with half-moon blade front and frame notch rear sights. The barrel exhibits a wedge of floral scroll engraving on each side surrounding the model and caliber marking. The frame is decorated with floral scrollwork accented by light wavy-line borders at the rear, geometric motifs on the yoke, crane, underside, and front of the top strap. Additional light flourishes of scroll are engraved between the cylinder flutes. The revolver is fitted with Colt medallion pearl grips, completing its factory deluxe configuration.

Condition

Excellent, with 95% original blue finish with light handling marks, high edge wear, a cylinder drag line, some light spotting on the forward cylinder, and crisp engraving. The attractive grips are also excellent with fiery coloration. Mechanically excellent.
