Rare Factory Original Fully Transferable Heckler & Koch MP5A2 Submachine Gun, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun

Manufactured in 1984, this Heckler & Koch MP5 represents one of the most iconic and collectible close-combat firearms of the late 20th century, a true pistol-caliber member of H&K’s renowned roller-delayed operating system family, prized for its closed-bolt accuracy, ergonomic handling, selective-fire capability, reliability, portability, and straightforward maintenance. First released in 1966, the MP5 was adopted by numerous military, police, protective, and elite “operator” units through the 1960s and 1970s, then achieved worldwide fame in 1980 when the British Special Air Service used MP5s during the televised Iranian Embassy hostage rescue, cementing the model’s legendary status; it later became a defining symbol of professional firepower in 1980s and 1990s films, television, and video games, from SWAT and military portrayals to Hans Gruber’s team in Die Hard. Internally, the pin-pattern trigger pack matches the external markings and includes an ambidextrous selector switch; the bolt is marked “ID 201,” the bolt carrier is marked “IE” for 1984, and the carrier retains a factory-original sear trip with no evidence of welding, grinding, or other modification.
